Our Pastors

In 1981, Dr. Ed Taylor experienced two of the most important moments in his life. He graduated from Rhema Bible Training College and moved home to North Carolina to marry his high school sweetheart Pastor Janie. These two events helped lay the foundation for the next forty years of his life. Ed felt led to move to Greensboro, NC to pastor a church.

Over the years, his family, church, and experience have grown. Ed and Janie had three precious children; they led their flock with diligence and care; finally, they learned how to truly walk by faith in those years.

Ed is a preacher and teacher who explains the gospel in a way that can be easily understood by anyone who walks through our doors. He dedicates his life to those in his care and ensures that all feel welcome.

Ed has served many outside of our church building through community outreaches as well as teaching those in ministry training in Rhema Bible Training College in Oklahoma, USA, various European countries, and even Thailand. He holds the position of district director for the Rhema Ministerial Association International where he works to mentor and provide support for pastors in his care.

Janie’s heart has always been for teaching children. As such, she has been the Children’s Ministry director for the majority of their time in ministry. Her kindness and patience allows her to work with all ages and even after their move to adulthood, those who were in her care, know that her heart will always be with them.

Together, Pastors Ed and Janie foster a culture of love and care at Expedition Church.

Ed and Janie have three children – Jessica, Shannon and Nathan – and one grandchild. Their two daughters and one son-in-love are also graduates of Rhema Bible Training College. All of their kids and in-laws have served with them in the church for many years and each sense their own unique calling to ministry.
